One of the biggest mistakes being committed by many people is that the tendency to repeat keywords unnecessarily.  Here is one example: jet, red jet, black jet, and blue jet.  Notice that there are two things that went wrong here.  First is the use of the word and.  Search engines treat this word as well as the, because, this, that, and there as stop words and are not really necessary when you put in keywords in a page.  The second mistake is the repeated use of the word, jet.  The correct way of using those keywords should have been jet, red, black, blue.  The search engines will automatically relate those keywords with one another.  Repeating keywords will just get you penalized by search engines.

One last tip is to include keywords on the title of your website.  You can do that as well in the description tag.  But you don’t have to overstuff your title with keywords.  The first things that search engines will look at is your title and the description tag so be sure to place a fair amount of keywords there.  Also, do not just put in any keyword blatantly.  Make sure that the keywords you are putting in are full of information that it can concisely tell what is the content of your site.
